Casa D'Amato - Maiori

Positive: We really enjoyed our stay in Maiori. The apartment is very well located and particularly convenient for families. The beach is just a short walk away, and getting around the Amalfi Coast is very easy, with both the bus stops and ferry connections nearby. The apartment has a lovely view towards the sea, and the air conditioning worked very well, which was especially appreciated during the summer. There is also a small supermarket just downstairs, which is extremely convenient when travelling with children. Overall, a comfortable and very practical base for enjoying Maiori and exploring the Amalfi Coast. Negative: Unfortunately, there were a few important issues during our stay. Check-in was frustrating. We had indicated an arrival between 2–3pm and arrived shortly before 2, but had to wait over an hour for someone to come and let us in. We were told the host lived an hour away and still needed to have lunch before coming. Had we known this in advance, we could easily have coordinated a more precise arrival time. The main concern, however, was cleanliness. We found hair in the toilet on arrival, the fridge had visible residues and had not been properly cleaned, and the shower curtain was in poor condition and really needs replacing. The shower drainage also needs attention. Water drained so slowly that several centimetres accumulated around our feet while showering. These points were disappointing, particularly as the apartment otherwise has a great location, good AC and is very convenient for families.
